Hugh Jackman, the Wolverine character in X-Men movie 2012, ripped out all of the muscles at the base of his spine at 14 years, because his bones grew too fast.  He spend two years in rehab and developed a  passion for a “pursuit of challenge”.

Jackman says “…we limit ourselves with goals. We have far more ability than we give ourselves credit for. HOW CAN YOU MAXIMIZE THE USE OF YOUR MIND? ….. Maybe it’s just the mind getting out of the way.”
